Hello Métis Citizens!

Welcome to the registration for the Métis Cup 2025! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has taken the time to register their children for this year’s Métis Cup Festival.

Due to the popularity of the Métis Cup, participation spots are limited. However, everyone is welcome to attend the festival’s cultural and community gatherings. To avoid delays or potential denial of your application, please ensure that you complete the registration form fully and accurately. We anticipate a waiting list again this year, as in previous years.

ALL CHILDREN PARTICIPATING IN THE TOURNAMENT MUST BE MNA CITIZENS

Important Change for 2025:
This year, we will not have ice time for U18 players to participate as players. Instead, we are excited to offer them a leadership opportunity by inviting them to coach younger participants and give back to the hockey community.

Please Note:
All applicants will receive an email indicating whether their registration has been Approved, Waitlisted, or Denied once their application has been processed.

If you are applying for more than one child, please follow the prompts after the first child's application to add additional children.

In consideration on being allowed to participate in any way in the Métis Cup, related sports and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:

The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and, I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and, I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If however I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation, and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS Métis Cup & Métis Nation of Alberta., their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lease of premises used to conduct the event ("Releasees"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND IT'S TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY AGREEING TO IT, AND AGREE TO IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT. FOR PARTICIPANTS OF A MINOR AGE (Under 18 at the time of registration) This is to certify that I, as a parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release, as provided above of all of the Releasees, and, for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and indemnify the Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my minor child's involvement or participation in these programs as provided above.

I HAVE READ AND AGREE TO ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THE ABOVE RELEASE, AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT BY PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES ABOVE, I AGREE AND CONSENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
